She Knew Her Killer – Rebecca Bradley #BookReview #DetectiveClaudiaNunn3 #BlogTour #JoffeBooks #Books’n’AllPromotions #4.5*

A secret past turned deadly. A killer with everything to lose. Prepare to be hooked.

Detective Claudia Nunn is called to a gruesome scene at a swanky Sheffield hotel. Harlow Cunningham has been found murdered in her room. She was in town with four old school friends, but all of them say the same thing: Harlow had been distracted and kept disappearing all weekend.

What had Harlow been up to, and is it what got her killed?

But just as the investigation is getting started, the top-brass start moving detectives off the case. Soon only Claudia, DS Dominic Harrison and DS Russ Kane are left.

The team suspects corruption. And then they become the target of violent attacks.

Someone will do anything to stop the truth getting out. And it’s up to Claudia to catch a killer before they kill again.

Detective Claudia Nunn series

  1. Blood Stained
  2. Seconds to Die
  3. She Knew Her Killer

Definitely Different!

This series just keeps getting better and better!

Detective Claudia Nunn’s latest case is a gruesome one: a young woman found murdered in her hotel room in an upmarket establishment where she was reconnecting with old school friends. As always, Claudia and her team start digging into the lives of the deceased and her friends but no sooner do they begin that the team is decimated as all but three of them are pulled off the case to work on ‘other things’. Someone’s pulling the strings – but who? And why?

Having followed this series from the very beginning, I’m rather fond of Claudia Nunn. She is thorough in her investigations, an exemplary leader and deals well with the team politics. But this time round, she’s investigating with her hands tied behind her back, and it makes for an enthralling read. With plenty to consider I couldn’t put this down until I find out who was behind it all. Another fabulous addition to this series and one I’ll continue to follow with interest and anticipation. This earns both my recommendation and 4.5*.

My thanks to the publisher for my copy and to Jill Burkinshaw for my spot on this tour; this is – as always – my honest, original and unbiased review.
