A DARK, TWISTY AND UTTERLY COMPULSIVE PAGE-TURNER.
A killer who sends drawings of the murders he will commit.
A detective who will do anything to stop him.
Detective Claudia Nunn has never seen anything so beautiful — or so horrifying.
The intricate drawing is sent to her at work. It shows a man, naked on a bed. His arms are bound, his face contorted in agony, a huge blade stuck deep in his back.
Gory? Certainly. Something to worry about? Not likely. Police get sent weird stuff all the time.
Until Claudia is called to a crime scene that exactly recreates the drawing.
When another sketch arrives, Claudia thinks she might have a serial killer on her hands, who thinks he’s an artist.
Claudia’s in a race against time to stop anyone else dying — and the next victim could be her.
Perfect for fans of Helen H. Durrant, Rachel Abbott, Biba Pearce, Angela Marsons and L.J. Ross.

Riveting & Suspenseful!
An exciting second outing for DI Claudia Nunn and her team!
In charge of a newly formed unit, Claudia is waiting for her first case when she receives a drawing. It turns out that it is a realistic picture of a crime scene she is soon called to. Kicking herself for not realising the significance and missing the chance to stop a killing, she takes more notice when a second drawing lands on her desk. Time is ticking – can they save the next potential victim?
As soon as I saw this was another Claudia Nunn book, I was eager to read it – the first one really captured my attention. A thrilling tale, and one which will keep your brain working at full pelt! As with all the best crime series, there is an underlying secret of which the protagonist is unaware ramping up the tension. Definitely a series to follow, and I can’t wait to see where the author leads us next. I suspect I’ve been reading far too many crime novels of late as, for once, I actually worked out who the killer was! Not something I make a habit of. The more I read about Claudia, the more I like her and I’m already looking forward to the next instalment. Riveting and suspenseful, not only a book but also a series I’m happy to recommend and give 4.5*.
My thanks to the publisher for my copy; this is – as always – my honest, original and unbiased review.
