Christmas Wishes on Sunflower Street by Rachel Griffiths #BookReview #SunflowerStreet4 #CosyCottageBooks #5*

This winter, enjoy an uplifting story about Christmas, friendship and village life from the author of The Cosy Cottage Café series.

Christmas has arrived on Sunflower Street bringing snow, carols and fairy lights…

Roxie and Fletcher are enjoying his early retirement, taking long walks with Glenda and snuggling up to share romantic evenings together.

Lila and Ethan are practically living together now along with her cats William Shakespaw and Cleocatra. Willy’s been up to his old tricks but this time, he brings Ethan a gift that he wasn’t expecting for Christmas.

Joanne and Max are taking their time getting to know each other, but Max has something he’s been wanting to say.

Will Roxie, Lila and Joanne’s Christmas wishes come true?

Grab a mince pie and a mulled wine or hot chocolate and snuggle up with this delightfully festive read.

A Sparkling End to a Superb Series!

This has been a wonderfully feel-good series, and this fourth book rounds it all off beautifully!

This time round we find Joanne in a much better place; with her finances under control she is busy saving for a deposit on her own house and is in a relationship with Max, although they are not rushing into anything. Lila and Ethan are getting closer, with her two cats taking centre stage, and over at Roxie and Fletcher’s, Glenda the pug is still ruling the roost but with Fletcher’s retirement they have more time to enjoy life. The residents of Sunflower Street are thriving.

Another gorgeous read in this warm series and this time round it has been sprinkled with Christmas magic! It didn’t take me long to settle back into the friendships, relationships and, as always with Rachel Griffiths, enjoy the antics of the animals. The cat’s names are sheer brilliance and amuse me each time I get re-introduced to them. This is a fabulous fourth instalment, moving the story along whilst keeping all the character traits. Essentially a story of three women this is cleverly expanded to encompass their family, partners – and pets – adding up to a superb conclusion. Definitely one to add to your Christmas reading list, especially if you are getting a bit stressed with it all as this will put you back on an even keel. A perfect score from me – all five sparkling stars!

My thanks to the author for my copy; this is – as always – my honest, original and unbiased review.
