Up for a dream promotion, Emma won’t let anything get in her way – not even love.

Working for a major Hollywood film company isn’t all glitz and glam. But when Emma gets sent to tour around Italy to scout the perfect location for a new blockbuster movie, she’s not going to complain. Especially when it could make or break her career…

Historical adviser Mark is a distraction that Emma does not need. As they explore the beauty of Italy, though, Emma starts to fall for the mysterious historian, finding herself torn between her job and her heart.

From the wild, northern mountains of Piedmont, down the vibrant coast of Cinque Terre and through the rolling hills of Tuscany, Emma’s journey becomes one of self-discovery as she questions her priorities in life.

This heartwarming story of romance and redemption is the perfect read for fans of Tilly Tennant, Holly Martin and Daisy James.

A Fabulous Italian Trip!      stars 5

Fed up with lockdown? Then a trip to Italy to take in the sights is just the ticket!

Emma works in the Hollywood movie industry and whilst her job isn’t all about glamour it does have it’s moments – and being sent to Italy to scout locations for the next big thing is definitely one of the high spots. When one of the local entourage to assist turns out to get her heart-a-thumping, Emma reminds herself that she doesn’t have time for romance – she’s a career girl! And it would never work . . .

Another cracking read from Trevor Williams! Last month, I ‘travelled’ round several delightful countries via my reading list, and I was thrilled to begin the month of May in the same vein. With lots of beauty spots off the beaten track, all described in minute detail and including wonderful historical details, I imagine that research was carried out meticulously and, I dare say, much enjoyed! This is a lovely story with a fine cast of characters and set in the most amazing places. As well as getting to know Emma and her story, I feel as if I’ve had a fabulous Italian trip! This author easily maintains the high standards he set with previous novels whilst bringing a fresh feel to the Italian countryside. A well crafted story with, as always, a labrador popping up on the pages; a feature that I always enjoy in his novels. The whole book flows smoothly and is easily read, with everything all tied up by the final page. An absolute delight to read and fully deserving of all five sparkling stars!

My thanks to the publisher for my copy via NetGalley; this is – as always – my honest, original and unbiased review.

Author Bio

Trevor WilliamsI write under the androgynous name T A Williams because 65% of books are read by women. In my first book, “Dirty Minds” one of the (female) characters suggests the imbalance is due to the fact that men spend too much time getting drunk and watching football. I couldn’t possibly comment. Ask my wife…
I’ve written all sorts: thrillers, historical novels, short stories and now I’m enjoying myself hugely writing humour and romance. Romantic comedies are what we all need from time to time. Life isn’t always very fair. It isn’t always a lot of fun, but when it is, we need to embrace it. If my books can put a smile on your face and maybe give your heartstrings a tug, then I know I’ve done my job.
I‘ve lived all over Europe, but now I live in a little village in sleepy Devon, tucked away in south west England. I love the place. That’s why you’ll find leafy lanes and thatched cottages in most of my books. Oh, yes, and a black Labrador.
I’ve been writing since I was 14 and that is half a century ago. However, underneath this bald, wrinkly exterior, there beats the heart of a youngster. My wife is convinced I will never grow up. I hope she’s right.
